Location: The Cotswolds. Ben Pauling is Gloucestershire born and bred. Starting his career as Assistant to multiple champion winning trainer Nicky Henderson, no doubt provided a solid foundation to what has become a formidable training career.
Ben took out his training licence in 2013 and since then has made a name for himself in his own right in the National Hunt scene. The rate at which he has grown in recent years has been reflected in the tremendous success he has had on the track, training 167 winners in his first 6 seasons and culminating in achieving their most successful season to date (2022 – 2023).
During Ben's short career to date he has amassed four Cheltenham Festival winners; Willoughby Court, Le Breuil, Global Citizen and, most recently, Shakem Up'Arry as well as Aintree champions Barters Hill and Kildisart.
2022 also saw the start of an exciting chapter with the move to a brand new, state of the art, training facility, Naunton Downs. Nestled in the rolling hills of The Cotswolds countryside, the gallops, owners area and stables really are second to none and this, combined with the friendly and personable approach from Ben, his wife Sophie and his dedicated team, makes visits to this yard particularly special.
