Location: Berkshire. Harry started his career as a jockey enjoying three years in the saddle, riding 50 winners including a winner at the Cheltenham Festival aboard Salubrious. After identifying his love for racing was not in the saddle Harry retrained at Paul Nicholls’ stable and quickly became a vital part of his team, first as Pupil Assistant and then following on as Assistant Trainer, a role he held for 6 years. Whilst in that role Harry worked closely alongside Paul and put in relentless levels of work seven days a week to help produce some fantastic results, winning the trainers championship on three occasions and finishing runner up the other three.Harry has a relentless work ethic and desire to succeed, alongside a deep and widening knowledge of the racehorse that he is excited to expand and develop as his training career progresses.The talented and motivated team at Harry Derham Racing all share their trainer’s desire and ambition to compete in the top races in the National Hunt sphere, while providing owners with brilliant communication and a terrific experience both on and off the racecourse.
