Live from the Tattersalls sales

Harry introduces us to Tattersalls book 1 - 5th October 2020

Hi everybody, here we are. Just the day before the Book 1 sales starts. I thought it might be fun just to try and get a little bit of a feel in this short video that we have put together, and a sort of prediction of what might happen over the next three days at the sales.

I'm here at Tattersalls just standing outside the ring this is where the horses parade before they go in through the ring and of course Book 1 is over 500 horses, the best bred horses, the best looking horses that are out there in Europe. This is the principle sale on the European scene.

Every year we come here and every year we of course get blown away because horses make a million and sometimes 3 million at this sale and there are also those horses that fall through the net that we manage to get into our price range as well.

It’s been tough looking over the past three days because the weather has been simply shocking that's why you can see I'm dressed like this and catalog getting wet and the wind blowing and the horses are all over the place.

 So it hasn't been the easiest preparation over three days but as we'll hear from Jake in a minute, we've got the horses on the vet's list now and it's just a question of the final touches being made before we come here tomorrow and see if we can do some damage over the next three days.

Of course, once this sale is over, then we're going to head onto Book 2, but that's over a thousand horses or there abouts to look at so there's a lot of work ahead before we finalise the horses.

As I explained before this year, because we can't have the yearling parades, every time we buy a horse, we're going to parade that horse and film the horse as it were on the video, we'll have Jake's description and my chat about the horse and then it goes up onto our website, so you'll get to see all the action as it happens. And, Yeah, I'm excited. I think I've seen some of the nicest, well I know I've seen on the nicest horses I've ever seen at a sale anywhere in the world before, so whether we can afford them is a different matter, but let's see what lies ahead over the next three days.
