George Scott will enter his 10th year of training in 2024. His annual tally of winners has increased significantly in the last two years, with a personal best of 37 winners in 2022 soon to be bettered in 2023. It was in only his third season that he trained James Garfield to win the Mill Reef Stakes (Gr 2) and he’s gone on to have considerable success with juveniles.
In 2022 Rocket Rodney was a stable star, running away with a Listed race at Sandown and finishing a close second in the Molecomb Stakes (Gr 3) at Glorious Goodwood. In 2023 Watch My Tracer won twice and was beaten just over 4 lengths in the Coventry Stakes (Gr 2) at Royal Ascot.
George had a great grounding and education through his formative years as pupil assistant to Paul Nicholls, Mark Tompkins and Michael Bell before taking on more responsibility as assistant trainer to Lady Jane Cecil at Warren Place. George is a very hands-on, personable trainer who is eager to grow the business and improve his results year on year.
